Six teams remain in the hunt for National Pool Championship glory

The final stages of Guyana’s first-ever national pool tournament will be played out this weekend, with six teams vying for the coveted 2024 Cue Sports Association Guyana Inc. National Team Championship title.

After weeks of intense competition across the country, East Bank Snipers and Suicide Squad have secured their places in the semi-finals.

However, the remaining four teams – Team Predators, Cue in Line, Chief Pool Club, and Berbice Strikers – will compete for the final two spots on Friday evening.

The tournament has showcased high skill and competition, with players from across Guyana battling it out for a share of the over two million dollar prize fund.

On Friday (August 16), Cue in Line takes on Team Predators at Jason Pool Bar (South Georgetown), and Berbice Strikers takes on Chief Pool Club at Butchers Chill Spot (Sheriff Street).

Those games commence at 18:30h.

The final four teams will battle it out on Saturday (August 17) in the semi-finals to secure their position in the finals, which are scheduled for Sunday (August 18) at Butchers Chill Spot from 14:00h.

The Cue Sports Association Guyana Inc. has thanked all participants, venues, and sponsors for their support in making the tournament a success.

Ivanoff Vodka is the title sponsor, with Toucan Distributors, Farfan and Mendes, Websource Guyana, American Construction, KBS Electrical, Premier Innovations Guyana, Auto Fashion, MMG and Coss Cutter are other main sponsors.
