Almost a month after he allegedly assaulted two Police officers, a 35-year-old taxi driver was on Friday read four charges and was granted bail amounting to $90,000,
Jitendra Baljodah, a resident of Onderneeming Sand Pit, Essequibo Coast appeared before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court.
He was charged for assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest, disorderly behavior and using threatening language.
Baljodah denied all of the charges.
He was granted $35,000 bail each on the charges of assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest.
He was placed on $10,000 bail each on the other two charges.
The offences were committed on June 26 June at Onderneeming Sand Pit, Essequibo Coast on two Police ranks.
The case was adjourned to August 9 for disclosure of statements.
